When will "INDIA" be renamed as "BHARAT"? Are we still proud to be "JUNGLEE"?

When will "INDIA" be renamed as "BHARAT"? Are we still proud to be "JUNGLEE"?

Before first british businessmen and british empire came to "Bharat" Desh , our country was known as "Bharatvarsh". Study any old literature, veda, sanhitas, shlokas, you will find "BHARAT" everywhere.

The fact is when first british businessmen came to our country, they named us as "East Indians", because they found many appearance-wise similarities of us with American Tribals "Red Indians", who were "West Indians" for them. "Red Indians" are tribal community in Western Countries in other words "JUNGLEE" community.  No doubt we were "SLAVES" of British Empire and could not do anything about it when they were ruling us, but we sure can change ghis situation.  When you say "I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN" do you know what does it mean, it means "I AM PROUD TO BE JUNGLEE"? We must say "I AM PROUD TO BE A BHARATIYA".

Later later our country was named as "India" by them in short after they established "EAST INDIA COMPANY" in Bharat. The detailed story is too long and one can easily google around for more information. What my point is.....

  • Mumbai (formerly Bombay, renamed in 1995)

  • Chennai (formerly Madras, renamed in 1996)

  • Kolkata (formerly Calcutta, renamed in 2001)

  • Vadodara (formerly Baroda, renamed in 1974)

  • Vijayawada (formerly Bejawada)

  • Visakhapatnam (formerly Waltair; before that, Vizagapatnam)

  • Kadapa (formerly Cuddapah, renamed in 2005)

  • Shimla (formerly Simla)

  • Kanpur (formerly Cawnpore, renamed in 1948)

  • Thiruvananthapuram (formerly Trivandrum, renamed in 1991)

  • Pune (formerly Poona)

  • Kochi (formerly Cochin, renamed in 1996)

  • Kollam (formerly Quilon)

  • Sagar (formerly Saugor)

  • Jabalpur (formerly Jubbulpore)

  • Narmada (formerly Nerbudda)

  • Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry, renamed in 2006)

  • Indore (formerly Indhur)

  • Kozhikode (formerly Calicut)

  • Udhagamandalam (formerly Ootacamund)

  • Tiruchirapalli (formerly Trichinopoly)

  • Thanjavur (formerly Tanjore)

  • Kannur (formerly Cannanore)

  • Varanasi (formerly Benares)

  • Guwahati (formerly Gauhati)

  • Tirunelveli (formerly Tinnevelly)

  • Panaji (formerly Panjim)

  • But I am still wondoring why we should not change the name of our Country from "India" to "Bharat" which is our official country name? Checkout any Official Information on our Country and Government Maps you will find its written as "BHARAT" in hindi and "INDIA" in english. Why there should be such a huge name change when written and understood in two languages?  We should stop calling it INDIA and should insist on everyone to call it BHARAT.

Why we should not write our country name as "BHARAT" in english?

Why we should not call it "BHARAT" verbally? Why its always be called as "INDIAN GOVERNMENT", "INDIAN TEAM" "INDIAN COMPANY", etc why it should not be called as "BHARATIYA GOVERNMENT", "BHARATIYA TEAM", "BHARATIYA COMPANY"?

Think and give your opinions pals? Before commenting, some study in google in this regard will be appreciated.

    अमरसिंह शिंदे = पूरी दुनिया में "भारत" इकलौता ऐसा अभागा देश है जिसके ३ नाम है, और किसी पोलिटिकल देशभक्त को इसका मलाल नहीं है.  When we say "i m indian", it means i m junglee, aawara, huzzad, aadivasi. I know this fact, aur ek gali "bloody indies" jo angrej hamesh dete the usse ye "india" ho gaya or hum apane aapko hi gali de dete hai..
